Literacy 25.02.21

 Our story this week is called the "Rainbow Fish"!

What does the rainbow fish looks like? Can you use an adjective to describe the Rainbow Fish?

The Rainbow Fish in our story is bright and colourful! His scales are all of the colours of the rainbow! There are lots of different animals that are bright and colourful!

One animal that can CHANGE the colour of its skin is called a Chameleon! You can take a look here!

Friday feeling

 Today it is the end of this half term. Next week, we hope you enjoy a well-earned break from home-schooling! We hope you all stay safe and well and enjoy our video of 'A la Bamba'. Children in Miss Child's group- we know you will love this one!

Join in with your family and use any musical instruments you have. If you don't have any musical instruments, don't worry, you can just use a pan and a wooden spoon or anything else you can find!

Have a great half term and we will see you all very soon!



Fantastic Home Learning! 12.02.21

Let's take a look at some of the Home Learning highlights from this week... Well done Year 1 for working so hard at home! You have all done a fantastic job and your teachers are very proud of your work!

Ayaan

Ayaan has been working really hard on his maths and literacy! He has also been getting creative at home. Take a look at his wonderful collages and Meerkat mask that Ayaan has made with his brother. A huge well done Ayaan, we are very impressed!

Manaal

Manaal has been working really hard this week. Here are some of her whole-part models. She has also created her own number sentences and used tens frames.


Tauseef

Come and take a look at Tauseef's sentence writing. He has included a capital letter, full stops and finger spaces. His writing is neat and easy to read and he has used his phonics to help with his spelling. Tauseef has made his own phoneme frame and included different words! Well done Tauseef!




Hashim

Hashim has been busy with his Summer and Winter collages. Hashim has completed some descriptive writing about his penguin which has blue eyes and a warm green belly. Great adjectives Hashim! Finally, Hashim has used "first, then and now" boards to complete his addition number sentences and whole part models! Super work!




Hashim has designed this habitat! He has included a green gras, a barn for shelter, water, and a big bright pom pom to represent the sun! So creative!


Take a look at these winter pictures! It's a penguin just like the one in our story! Can anyone remember where penguins live? What is their habitat like? We also love Hashim's snowy winter scene! How many penguins and snowmen can you count?



Daisy

Daisy Counts to 10 in her home language- Edo, spoken in parts of southern Nigeria! Can you learn the numbers to 10 with Daisy?

We love Noor's penguin drawing! Noor has drawn a blue penguin like the penguin in our story... it must be a Fairy Penguin! Noor has also been practising writing her name, take a look!



Adam

Here is Adam painting and getting creative! We love his handprint flower picture. Well done for all your hard work this week, you are a superstar!
