PSHE 01.02.21

This week it is children's mental health week. We learn a lot about how we keep ourselves fit and healthy by making sure we eat a healthy, balanced diet and exercise regularly but it is also important that we keep our minds healthy and happy too! This week, we will be posting an activity each day to encourage you to spend some time on keeping your mind healthy.

Today, we would like you to go outside and close your eyes. What different sounds can you hear?

Literacy 01.02.21

When the little boy and the penguin were rowing to the South Pole, the little boy told the penguin stories. Imagine you have to tell someone a story. What story would you tell?

It might be a story about something that has happened to you, a story you already know or have read or it might be your very own story that you have made up! Tell your story to somebody in your house.

If you are up for a challenge you could even create a story map for your story or try and write it in your book!

Don't forget to send pictures of videos to your teachers at year1@hovingham.org
